Trending: Why Women Over 50 Are Rethinking Expensive Botox, Fillers & Clinic Visits ›
Dr. Pimple Popper sat down with Jenna for what was supposed to be a conversation about skincare trends. But only minutes into the interview, the tone changed completely.
Dr. Sandra Lee made an admission few women expected to hear from a dermatologist: she had built her career around needles, lasers, Botox, fillers and cosmetic procedures.
Yet after years of treating women who could afford the best creams and the most expensive procedures, she said she kept seeing the same pattern. Their skin would look better for a while — then the wrinkles, sagging and loss of firmness would begin to show again.
That meant another appointment. Another procedure. Another round of injections. And, for many women, another expensive bill just to maintain the result they had already paid for.
According to Dr. Lee, that repeated cycle was what finally made her question whether aging skin was being approached from the wrong direction.
And that was when Jenna asked the question that changed the entire interview.
Jenna: “So when women use Botox, fillers, lasers and other procedures… why do they keep having to go back?”
Dr. Sandra Lee: She explained that these approaches can change what women see on the outside, but in her view they do not address what is happening deeper in the skin. That is why, she said, the effect can become a cycle of repeated sessions and repeated spending.
Jenna paused, then asked the obvious follow-up: if the usual approach means continually returning to the clinic, was there a way to support firmer-looking skin without another needle, laser session or surgery?
Dr. Sandra Lee: That, she said, was exactly what sent her searching for a different answer — one focused on supporting the skin from within rather than continually forcing a cosmetic effect from the outside.
Then she brought up the woman whose experience had pushed her to question everything she thought she knew about aging skin: Martha Stewart.
As Martha’s story unfolded, the reason Dr. Lee had become so frustrated with the usual cosmetic route became clearer.
Martha described spending a fortune on Botox, fillers, lasers and dermatology treatments, hoping each new procedure would finally give her the lasting change she wanted. According to her account in the interview, she would see an improvement — only to watch it fade again.
For Dr. Lee, that was the turning point. The problem was no longer simply the cost of one treatment. It was the idea that maintaining the result could mean years of clinic visits, repeated injections and thousands of dollars in procedures.
She told Jenna that instead of asking which procedure she could perform next, she began investigating what was changing underneath aging skin in the first place.
That search eventually took her to Korea — and to the at-home approach she said could be followed without Botox appointments, laser sessions, surgery or repeatedly putting needles into the face.
But before revealing exactly what she found, Dr. Lee walked over to the counter to show Jenna why she believed the difference started beneath the surface.
Dr. Lee then walked to the counter and began a simple demonstration comparing what she described as skin with weakened internal support to skin with a firmer structure.
This was the moment the interview shifted from cosmetic procedures to the mechanism behind the Korean approach. Rather than focusing on another treatment performed in a clinic, she explained why she believed the answer involved supporting the skin’s own structure from within.
What she showed next — including the ingredient combination, the collagen explanation and why the protocol was designed to be used at home — is the part of the interview that has drawn the most attention.
Watch the moment Dr. Lee explains why she began questioning repeated Botox and filler treatments — and see the Korean at-home discovery she revealed next.

I had a Botox consultation booked, but I really didn’t want needles in my face. I liked the idea of trying an at-home approach first.

What got my attention was not having to schedule laser or filler appointments. The routine fits into my morning and evening instead.

I’ve already spent plenty on skincare. The biggest difference for me is not having another expensive clinic visit on the calendar.
